Manlove Forensics is pleased to provide the service of facial recognition. As eye-witness evidence can be unreliable, computerised facial recognition is becoming much more frequently used to assist in the identification of individuals in a country where there are a vast number of CCTV and surveillance cameras. Facial recognition is also used in the field of biometrics for types of security.
Our experts can use the digital images of a face to interpret the likelihood of a match with a known individual. This uses a series of mathematical algorithms and databases of known facial characteristics. Furthermore, our experts will also compare photographic images with the suspected individual's face using the physical features and their proportions. Such comparisons can also be used in relation to video evidence.
It is also possible to use the structure of the bones in the skull and the points of attachments of muscles from those bones to reconstruct what the head and face of the unknown person may have looked like in an attempt to identify the deceased.
