Operations Manager 

Manlove Forensics has an opening for an operations manager to join our developing company. Leading the way in the niche forensic supplier market this opportunity will allow the right candidate to put their mark on the fast changing forensic marketplace.  

The Role

  • the day-to-day management of the team, carrying out appraisals when appropriate;
  • decisions on spending regarding equipment and resources, where necessary to ensure the smooth running of the company;
  • spending reviews, and compiling budgets for defined projects;
  • assisting with the strategic direction of the company including assisting in developing the different business areas;
  • being involved in procurement for future contracts;
  • promoting MFL to outside organisations/potential and existing customers, with support from Directors and other members of staff, where appropriate.

 

Knowledge of the forensic science industry in the UK is essential, as is previous experience of operational management. 

You will hold a full driving licence and be fully conversant with standard IT packages for office use.

Salary is dependent on the skills and experience of the candidate. 

We provide 25 days holiday per annum.

Senior Forensic Biologist

Manlove Forensics has an opening for an senior biologist to join our developing company.  

The Role

This is a very varied role to include casework (including attending scenes of crime where necessary), and training.  You will be:

  1. Performing biological examination of items and interpreting findings, including DNA profiling results;
  2. Conducting examinations away from the laboratory, when required;
  3. Giving evidence in court as an expert witness;
  4. Supporting colleagues in cross-disciplinary examinations;
  5. Assist in maintaining Quality procedures for forensic biology;

 

Ideal candidates will be reliable and enthusiastic with the ability to work independently as well as being an integral part of our friendly team.  You will be experienced, with reporting skills extending to blood pattern analysis, both within the laboratory and ideally at scenes.  It is desirable (though not essential) that you can report low-template DNA profiling.

 

You will hold a full driving licence and be fully conversant with standard IT packages for office use.
